Students, faculty and staff at Waccamaw Middle School were challenged by Principal Ginny Haynes to raise 1,000 cans for a Helping Hands Food Drive for Christmas. They surpassed that goal and collected 3,239 cans of food!! The school held a special event in their gym where they presented the cans to Helping Hands Associate Director, Lynne Ford. That day was also special in that the school dressed in their pajamas, were treated to great music by their school band, and played games as part of their school spirit. The Helping Hands family is truly grateful to community supporters such as Waccamaw Middle School for going above and beyond their goal.
