The weather was ideal, the food tasty, crowd size perfect, and the Tams delivered their electrifying blend of talent and finesse! Volunteers, staff, donors and friends all contributed to make this event a huge success.
“Last year’s event was held virtually due to the pandemic, and we were a little nervous about how many folks would attend this year, since we are still battling the pandemic,” said Renee Davis, chair of the board’s fundraising committee.
“But,” Davis continued, “we had over 75 people in attendance. Everyone had a great time and we surpassed our $75,000 fundraising goal by raising over $91,000 for this event!” Under Davis’ leadership, Helping Hands has surpassed every fundraising goal set and will miss her guidance as she steps off the board at the end of her term this December.
Regarding the success of the Tams’ fundraiser, Brendon Barber, executive director of Helping Hands, said, “We could not have made this event possible without the generous support of our donors and the efforts of our dedicated board members, volunteers and staff.”
