Helping Hands has a strong history of providing compassionate care (clothes, food, utility support, and dental care) and most helping others who have not been employed get jobs. We are committed to making those programs stronger.
Our vision for 2020 and beyond is to invest more resources to make our Youth Empowerment Program stronger. Our vision includes expanding our program to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, including all four Georgetown High Schools, and creating partnerships with employers, churches, community organizations, key community leaders, etc.
We believe that Helping Hands can bring change to our youth who struggle with poverty, identity, and hope for the future. YEP is a ministry to break the cycle of poverty by focusing on our youth.
Our dental care ministry is stronger. Our partnership with Saint James Santee Family Health Center has strengthened the services we provide in the areas of dental care, cleanings, and restorations. This is in addition to our Thursday evening extraction clinics.
We have been blessed over and over for the last 30 years. Join us in 2020 by your prayers, volunteer hours, food donations, and/or financial giving to continue providing HOPE, HELP, and CHANGE.
Respectfully,
Brendon M Barber,
Executive Director
